100% surface area, 150% surface and even 200% surface will give you the best primary heat source. The larger the solar system, the better it will work. It is that simple. Add a thermal blanket and even add a heat pump for a maximum swimming season. Enjoying great temperatures for a fraction of the cost. The solar will give you a pay back in 2 years and will pay back the heat pump in a few more years.
Solar is often cheaper than a heat pump, that has been sized correctly. Yes you can buy a cheap heat pump, but that doesnt mean the heat pump will give you excellent heat.
